In Magic The Gathering, your opponent doesn't automatically lose life when you gain life unless you have a card in play that says otherwise. There are specific cards like 'Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose' or 'Sanguine Bond' that have abilities triggering this effect. So, if you're building a deck around life gain and want to make your opponent lose life as part of that strategy, look for cards with abilities that directly turn your life gain into their life loss!

Short answer: Nope, not by default. You'll need a special card for that magic to happen!

Absolutely! But only if you play your cards right. Literally. Cards like 'Exquisite Blood' combo with life gain to drain your opponent's life force. I've been on both sides of that equation and, let me tell you, it's a game-changer. Make sure to have those types of cards in your deck if that's the strategy you want to play.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
