MTG cards can be pricey because of the game's rich history and competitive scene. Rarity, demand, and the secondary market influence the cost a lot. Some cards are limited edition or out of print, making them collectors' items. Plus, the game keeps updating with new sets, keeping players buying.

Supply and demand, my friend. The rarer the card, the higher the price. Plus, Wizards keeps pumping out must-have new sets, and we all keep buying them. It's a cycle.

Honestly, it's all about how much people are willing to pay. Some of the older cards are like gold in the community, and competitive play just fuels the fire.

Overrated. Just play with what you have or go digital. Not worth breaking the bank for.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
